The Kansas Board of Regents will visit Wichita State University on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 and Thursday, October 17, 2024.
The visit will start with the Board visiting the Marcus Welcome Center for a welcome by President Rick Muma, followed by a tour. Next, the group will travel to the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT) for a tour and lunch.
In the afternoon, the Regents will visit the Duerkson amphitheater for a mural presentation, then tour the Shocker Success Center (SSC) with discussions on student success. The Board will take a library tour and attend an applied learning mixer at the Digital Research Hub. The day will end with dinner and a presentation at Club '95, 4720 N Oliver Ave., Wichita, KS 67208.
On Thursday, October 17, the Board will have a breakfast meeting with the Faculty Senate from 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM. Following that, at 10:00 AM, the Board will hold a session with the Student Government Association. All meetings on October 17 will be held at the Rhatigan Student Center.
The day will conclude with a lunch from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM, hosted by President Muma.
The Board visit will conclude at 12:30 PM on the 17th.
